I don't know what an LDA is - do I have one, do I need one, what does it do?

LDA is a vaccum controlled diaphragm that acts upon a boost pin forcing an extra bit of fuel through the injectors on full load .

You will not have one on a standard 2.4 pump and I don't THINK it is an absolute to have one but obviously its an advantage
