I'm almost finished reconditioning a set of projekt zwo quad headlights I've had lying around for a while, just got the wiring to finish and then they are done, bar the painting.

the covers are currently dark blue, but i want them black (my van is Colorado red) what the best way to paint them? should i entrust them to a body shop to paint or do it myself with a rattle can?

they are urethene rather than fibre glass or metal so how do i prep the surface for paint? i dont want to start rubbing them down to get a key only to realise that is a bad idea with a rubberised/rubberish material.

any tips? how much could i expect to pay a body shop?

cheers

probably not much help but I had a local sprayer do mine while he was spraying my van. After a thorough sanding he used something called barcoat to stop it reacting to the new paint as he wasn't sure what the old paint was.

Love my Zwo stuff :)
