Hey all, I'm expecting my van back i'n the next few days weather permitting and it will be converted to a camper.

Do I need to inform DVLA and insurance company of changes that have been made ?

Any advice would be brill.

Depending who your insured with they might not reinsure you. also dvla might want more than just a note saying it been changed to a camper.

Changing a van to a camper sometimes cant open a right tin of worms.

and http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/repository/Motor%20Caravans%20-%20Advice.pdf before you submit your appliaction to the DVLA for getting it re classified as a "Motor home".

but if it was me i would be calling the insurance company before you get in it
the state of the roads at the minute if ya stuff it the [email protected] might not pay out
better safe than sorry
