does anyone one here deal with payroll or can lend any advice:

ok so i was inrolled in the company pension scheme , they took £19.66 of me towards it and the company contributed £42.00 i get that and thats all clear...

but in the deductions column it says this "Sal Sac.Sav Ees £2.36"

anyone know what this means .... I know I can phone payroll in the morning but i work nights and its t.its of me lol

to me it looks like "salary sacrifice . savings .... "

can anyone shed any light ? surly it would be polite of them to inform me of any deductions ... I know its only 2.36 but its my £2.36 lol

Could be wrong but the salary sacrifice is before tax so you "save" money by not paying the tax on the amount of the deduction. That could be what that figure isT:

Is it possibly a salary sacrifice scheme fee?

I take part in a salary sacrafice scheme at work (not pension though) and have to pay a monthly "admin" fee of about £7 for the privilege.

Hmmm the amount was deducted after tax ....

I pay 1% and employer 2 %
I payed 19.66 and employer paid £42

Surely that should have been £39.32 am thinking it probably is a fee but the employer is paying for it by over paying on the pension .... I'm sure it's some sort of " dodge" lol

The difference between 42 and 39.32 is £ 2.68 which is not far away from the £2.36 taken of me plus tax #confused
