At some point my van was re-sprayed and the paint finish doesn't last long in the sun any more. No idea what paint was used but judging by the amount of oxidised red paint that come off on my cloth I'm guessing it's not 2 pack.
Here is what my van starts to look like after a year or 2 of being baked by the sun and not polished.
and after several evenings of T-cut & then Mer it happily come back to this.
I'm now thinking of getting one of those ebay polishing machine kits to cut down on the arm work.
Firstly I don't want to get into all the sanding pads & G3 ect as I don't think my paintwork needs to be cut back aggressively and also (mainly) I don't trust myself not to go too far and meet primer!
I was thinking of just using T-cut or Mer but with this machine and plenty of water - will that work ok?
Also which pads do I need for this, all the kits seem to come with different coloured foam pads and I'd probably just use them all
I was thinking I would start with the bonnet to see how I get on, reason being that it would be the easiest panel to have repaired if it goes horribly wrong, also I could just get it vinyl wrapped instead.
so, any advice?T:
