Hi, had a bit of trouble starting my 04 174 last week , pointing downhill , it would have loads of gushing in the pipes and sometimes turn over a few times and misfire for a second or two (no smoke) then clear and be perfect all day , if I primed the system 3/4 times on the key it would start instantly and run fine , it was bad enough for me to book in the garage , so I put 30 quid in the tank for the garage testing as it had got quite low, after putting the fuel in and starting it for two days before it went in , it started instantly without missing and without priming (still heard some gushing in the pipes though ,but maybe not as obvious before) so I'm sort of wondering if this maybe points to the pump in the tank ?? Anyone else agree or heard of this before ? Cheers for any replys

My old T4 would start to splutter going around corners when the tank went below a quarter.
Changed to in tank pump and it cured it.
When it failed the first time, it just stopped............in peak hour.........on a really busy road!
(that van has 580k on it).........oh.......petrol motor.
