Afternoon folks.

Had a service and cambelt done last week all ok so i thought.!! Since having it done it is a pig to start. Before it used to fire on the turn of the key and has done so for the 4 years since i have had it.
I used it to go across town then stopped the next day i turned the key and it just turns over for ages before it will fire. to the point of this morning thought i was going to have to set fire to it.
Going back to the garage tomorrow and they can keep it till its sorted.
Any one any ideas on what it could be. Hope it is simple.

Is that the only way of doing the pump timing with vag com.? When i did take it back on friday he said there is nothing wrong with the timing as it was all timed up spot on.! would it still run ok otherwise. I went down to exmouth all weekend and it is still fine to drive, with no problems on power or cruising.

Back from the garage today and all sorted. Problem was a fuel pipe on the return side that over a period of time had chaffed up against a metal injector pipe. Hole was a small pin hole but just enough to be drawing air in on cranking of the engine.

All sorted now so i can relax.!!
