Finally got a van that's good enough to PP, an '02 102 with 62K on the clock, but live in south devon so getting the remap done will be quite a day out.
My question is what else, if anything, I should do or have done to the van before I change the nozzles and head north.
Cam belt change?
decat the exhaust?
Heard something about blocking off return from exhaust to turbo?
anything I'm missing?
Should any of these, or anything else, be done prior to the remap to ensure I get the best from the tuneup.
thanks in advance

Hi Jim,

All of the above really if you wanna go the whole hog.......

If you have the history of your van then you'll know the score with the cam belt, its a peace of mind thing and up to you?

Blank off the EGR, do a search for the guide on here, all the pics etc are there.

Decat is a must, very cheap mod and worth the gain in throttle response / power. If you are feeling a bit flush then a stainless system is a possibility?

Also possibly a front mount intercooler is an option to chill that air, but its all financially dependant!

Any other suggestions will be along shortly I'm sure!

Good luck fella! :ILU:

cheers Jonny,
do you rekon a front mount intercooler is a good investment for a 102?
what advantages does it offer over the existing one?
