We have a new crewcab pickup, its a snotter at the moment, will slam and start the prep work on the panels, and gut the interior.

However we have decided to build a sportstar style pickup, and more importantly take a large mould off it, there are some out there but the last cost were around the 6K euro mark.

Photos start nest week with build progress, will be slow though,

any pointers would be greatfully received

yea had seen this, but not all the images, thanks for that pulled some more off, looks like we need to hide with in the archs/cab, a small generator, and 2 leisure batterys with two inverters, then a tool chest.

Looking to go with a chequer plate top, d rings, and a opening boot to give a low locker, still not sure on the body line yet, quiet like it to follow the natural swage line,

got to finish my caravelle first, fix the throttle cable, and boy does it shift now!

Caravelle finished although some tweeks after a trip to europe the client is always right( well my wife says she is!).

We have our donor now, with another strong 2.4D and enough spares to shake a stick at, will load images up to our folder later, marked up the body line by still unsure of which line to take, too low and we loose the handles, to high and it does not look to cool.

Need to ascertain wether we cut all the skin panels or retain the integrity of the internal panels and the floor,

Slit cutter and plasma waiting may start this [email protected]!

here we go the start of the cutting, will start trimming later this week, got to earn some money first. Made a decision to go with side and back only, not the full floor, not sure why, gonna build a span frame out of 1" box and hang the panels off them, have to say VAG have built a really good motor, the panels are very well put together, some places a 9" grinder could not get in.

photos show the start, need to learn how to load up here,

list of bits i will need, rear lower door hinges and bolts, also need to cut out the panel that they sit in ( so if you have some scrap doors shout), in chopping up, we have also worked how to do the front cab bunk, factory style, will upload CAD files for that, going for a OEM finish......

off to do drawings, meetings all day tomorrow.

tired and dirty....

at home now, with glass of wine, and need some help with the interior and spec.

going for leather seats on swivels, rear set of three on squab, carpet throughout and new panels in the rear.

still not sure on final trim finish, we have MG ZR seats in at the moment, look good and cheap to boot, but really like the new 350zx seats!

there is a need for ICE, looking at JL amp(5 channel) and speakers, no need to go mad, poss one sub, some 6x4 and 5" and 4" in the dash.

A 14" touch screen in the dash, a Mac Mini with a carnetix psu and additional PSU, powering two 20" apple cinema screens, on in the roof and another on the table (a T5 robot table), additional 7" one in the door card and the other side of the rear, a Cintiq wacom with a additional 3" USB touch panel, poss driver side.

also need to house a dye sub printer...some where

As there is no need for a head unit, hence the mac mini, as the new Parrot head unit is just out, and because i can get it at trade price! and we use iPhones so it all makes sense really.

In the back of the pickup back will be a generator 16A 240V, twin 110 amph batterys with a split charge system, then a pair of 1000W invertors, all output from a marine grade patch bay.

need some info on max sound insulation, power usage and cable runs etc... would value any opinion, cheers......

we wanted to produce an OEM style crew cab pickup, as if VAG had built it, hence the return body line from the cab, google sportstar and you will see some images, we will eventually do a long nose conversion along with a audi engine transplant, but thats long term, regards E
