Hi, I've had what I thought was a blown brake light for a few days. I've just checked all the bulbs and they're intact. I've had a look at the fuses - very confusing - and the ones I think they are (20 and 21) also look fine. What else could cause a brake light not to work? I'm at the limits of my electrical skills ? thanks in advance for any suggestions x

I had the same issue one night driving home. Turns out it was the switch on the pedal. Really easy fix. Take the panel off above the pedals and you'll see it there above the brake pedal (Black, green or purple in colour generally) twist to release it from its cradle and unplug it.

Reverse process with replacement, not expensive.

Thanks for the suggestion, but surely that would stop both brake lights working? Only one of mine is out....

Okay I'll run through what I would do (sorry if you have done these)

Check working brake light in none working side? Might be dodgy replacements. I bought replacements for my old T4 and after pulling hair out and tracing what seemed like miles of wire the pins or pips were in the wrong place on the bulb.

Clean the contacts in the cluster.

I'll keep thinking.
