Hi guys,
just hoping someone could point me in the right direction for a remap for my T5. Bearing in mind I have had a few bad experiences remapping cars in the past,(mobile map) I would prefer somewhere respectable, where I can get a before and after dyno run to prove gains. Anywhere in the N/W, Lancashire area would be fine. Also what kind of gains am I likely to make?
Thanks.T:

Give Pendle a call heard nothing but good things about them, apart from being on the wrong side of the Pennines ( go Yorkshire ) :)

Pendle is sounding like the place, Do they
have a rolling road there, like I said I want a few runs and printouts. Cheers.

Yep, they have a rolling road. Marting will provide you with print outs, quality remap and a bit of education if requested!T:

Don't forget though, don't go into his premises, just shout him from the door way. He wouldn't walk into your house so don't walk into his !!!!!!!!!!!!!
But, he's very good at what he does & yes I have had my T5 done by him & well worth the trip it was too T:

Ha, ha, good advice. In fact, best not to just turn up as the chances are Martin won't do it on the spot. Phone up for a slot beforehand.

I went to Martin from the Isle of Skye, brilliant job done by a proper pro with all the right kit to do the deed properly. Each van is custom mapped to its best ability. Highly recommended. T:

Yep I agree with the above, I'm just a little a**l with the work I do and like to do it to the absolute best and I give each and every vehicle I do 100% my full concentration, when your vehicles are in my hands they are like my little babies. ;-)

I'm very passionate about this business and this is why sometimes I come across strong when all these "Meet you on a CarPark" tuners pop up with a cheap laptop and mpps.

Any advice anyone needs at all please just ask or throw a pm over.

Regards

Yep definately dont want a car park tune.

I've had other cars done when i lived in Leicester, however I don't want to drive that far, but I do want the map doing properly with a dyno run on my van, not just a map thats "dyno developed". Sounds like Martin is the man. Will call him later today for more info I think.

I ended up popping into BHP UK last week and after a long discussion and a quick tour around their workshop (some tasty converted cars in there) & look at plots on their dyno from previous T5's they'd done, I decided to bite the bullet and let them loose on the van.

The standard bhp on my van way 117 at the wheels and Qal gave me a choice of 2 maps one at 157bhp and 167bhp at the wheel, about 185 at the engine for the other, a gain of 50bhp:)T:

I think the real gain was the torque going from 361 to 499nm.

I'll try to post the dyno plots that i got later today.

Next job is fitting the rock and roll bed that got delivered today:D

Never heard of these before, website looks good, bet their workshop was nice T:
The workshop was ok but I liked the fact that the guys had a lot of time for me & even though I called in unannounced & they were busy playing with some fancy motors they treated me like a person taking the time to answer all my questions. A:
