Hi there

Just started a conversion on a 11 plate T28 and removed the interior rear lights. In doing so I seem to have caused the exterior lights to fail. The main exterior lights no longer turn on and have a warning light on the dash indicating so.... Back indicator and reversing light still work.

Any thought on what I may have done and could do to fix this issue?

Were they the standard VW interior lights or aftermarket ?
Try refitting the interior lights that you have removed, (electrically) & see if they then work.

Maybe you've blown a fuse ?

If you pull the old light fittings to much the terminals can touch resulting in blowing a fuse, which results in the tailgate lights not working
