It seemed so easy... Having to grind off the securing nut/bolt should have told me something. Which is the fuse for the horn on an 'N' reg VWT4 Transporter/Caravelle diesel/syncro ? ? ?

Looking forward to hearing from you! Cheers, Tony.:ILU:

Mine is bust as well. Could be a fuse, so I would like to know the answer as well please.

I contacted my garage and they said that I couldn't have a klaxon or anything as the horn needs to be a single note.

on our '98 1.9td there didn't seem to be a fuse, wasn't the one as in the manual. circuit seems to go through a relay (needed for a more powerful horn) by the fuse box with a connecting bar across it.
I undid the cables at the horn, they touched, shorted & melted the cable back to the steering wheel, me underneath as the insulation started to burn
lesson learnd, now put a separate live fused supply from the battery

I do have a tiple air horn to try and shift the "Middle Lane Morons" while on the motorway, but it's a bit much when some numpty is about to reverse into you and all you want to do is inform him/her of your presence.

Cheers. Tony.T:
