How are people finding residual values on T5's these days ? I'm thinking about changing mine at the end of the year for a white kombi, might go sportline, mine will have about 7000 miles on it when its a year old in december, if I can sell it without losing a pile I'm very tempted. I wish I'd gone for a white one last year but bottled it last minute !

LOL !!! ALL my socks are older than my van !

Whats the leadtime on DSG Kombis at the moment, I know when I took mine it was about 6 months or worse.
TBH
If someone orders a DSG we tell them word for word
"it comes when it comes"

We all know its an issue so false promises from us
or customers wanting delivery ASAP are just not
on menu/
About 9 months is a guess
Any salesperson who can predict more
accurately is a liar unless he has 4 chimney pots
and his own private factory

Its not to say you can't get lucky
We nabbed a DSG Sportline from system
last week
Simply put the customer who had been waiting
the longest into it

Your van is a hell of s spec

Thats pretty much what I was told last year, 9 - 10 months for another DSG. For me its a matter of timing, if I decide to replace this one and place an order in time for next years mid year plate change, I'd need to be fairly sure I could off load mine. I know I'll loose some money but thats life, compared to my last "episode" what I loose on this will be fine :D

The van would have been an even better spec if they hadn't forgotten to add some stuff to the factory order :* nuff said !LOL:LOL:LOL:

Cheers !

If it's just the colour you want to change then why not have it wrapped? You can do it immediately, get them to invoice it as sign writing so it's tax deductable, it'll protect your paint while it's on, who knows may be able to sell it for more?? Best of all if you don't like it in a few months take it off.... :D

I was thinking about wrapping, I also fancy an orange one too ! Doing a six monthly colour change wrap would be cheaper than changing the van all the time ! I've seen a couple of right nasty wrap jobs though, a good one looks great a bad one is  !
