Turner Race developments in Stroud Bath road. Very knowledgeable and reputable and great guys.
Mmm , Turner Race Developments , nice guy there , they do have a rolling road too
I dont know if he does remaps , especially custom ones though , but nice guy
I used to work at a VAG tuning company , so know alot of these guys

I know that Badger 5 is run by a very clever guy , not knocking anyone else , but he has alot to do with racing too as he races cars
He did have a lovely 1.8T early Lupo too
So well in to his VAG cars

Well the van has been on the rollers first run 94bhp not bad but only 150 lbs torque hmm bit low.after map 109 bhp and 188 lbs of torque it does go a lot better but was expecting a lot more than that.it is still running lumpy but guess this is down to fueling and timing as he did not adjust that your thoughts please

I am not an expert , I did work at a tuning company , but did not do the custom mapping side of things , but I thought that the majority of the gains come from fuelling and timing.......may be wrong , but mmmmmm

I would be thinking that if 1 section had been changed , then other sections should be adjusted to suit....

I will do a tad more digging in to it and I will let you know
But other ideas would help too

Well I am going to get a friend round with his vag com and have a bit more of a play with the fueling and check timing see if we can make It run a bit bett.er if not I am going to take it to vw van center and get them to check the timing and what not and if all that works a run on the dyno will be called for

I've heard plenty of good things about Dan Turner, he's a personal friend of a bloke at work, but I also have a mate who took his T5 there for a remap and he's very happy with it! T:

Honest thoughts are complete and utter rubbish, sorry for the straight talking answer but being honest and straight in my book is best.

Thing is with these T4 2.5TDI engines that run a Bosch EDC15 engine control unit, fitting larger injectors what you first need to do is correctly re calculate the pump voltage map, (this is a map within the engine control that is scaled for the injectors)

Now once this is done the vehicle will idle correctly, you can then physically setup the pump timing with VCDS.

Now comes the custom tuning on these engines, if a tuner has never done these before the only way to correctly tune them is in real time using a OLS300 Emulator.

There are many mechanical things on these engines that also physically need fixing / adjusting when tuning to get the engine tuned 100% perfectly.

I suspect there are only a very few tuners in the UK who can honestly tune these correctly.
