Hey guys,

We have ripped out our original camper conversion to re do it the way we would like it, but have uncovered some rusty spots.

Our wheel arches at the rear are the worst (so far) so we decided to take them to a VW specialist in Leeds who quoted us £500 to replace both rear arches and paint.

Do you think this is a reasonable price? Based on these pictures (hope they sufffice) would you replace or repair?

Another question would be.. is this something that would fail on an MOT? Excuse our ignorance, we've read into it and got various different answers to that!

I'm no expert mate but I'm just sorting my arches out, I thought I had probs till I saw your snaps! They look well gone from the exterior, wouldn't have thought that's repairable...... Get stuck in and find how far the rust has eaten into it, if you have the dollar I'd replace, good luckT: As for MOT, as long as the chassis isn't compromised, I think it'll be cool, whip it down the garage and ask!

Aw well! We're booked in to get them replaced next week. Hopefully that's the biggest repair we have to do for a while!
