Did I read the prices correct...is it £25 a night for campers?
Hi, Just read the website and it says ...

Unoccupied Tents & Camper Vans: £25.00 per night....

Dont know why i would want to leave my camper unoccupied

The rate is the same as campeing for cars as it is for vans, july is £7 a night each.

Shellisland rules say you are not allowed to sleep in your campervan, I belive it has something to do with the council permisson for the site. No caravans are allowed at all.
But shell island do allow campervans on (as transport etc), But you have to sleep in a tent, not in a van. This is a rule that gets very broken. Doesnt seem to be enforced, But at least if you did get asked, You know what to say :D
Most people put a little 2 man tent at the side of there van, I have been there with no tent and no questions ask.

Hi Mate :)

Yes dogs are fine as long as they are on leads etc.. Shaemus is off his lead quite alot there and never had any trouble.

Think its £2 a night for dogs.

Hope you and Ant can get down T:

Just checked the tide times and tide heights as shell island is only accesable by a causeway which can get covered in water depending on the height of the tide.

The good news is that the road is clear all weekend so you don't have to worry about your arrival time.

Last book ins for camping is 9.00pm i beleave.

Its was all a last min thing but has seemed to get bigger.

Think there are 5 defo vans and another possable 2 at the moment.

Will post again on the next trip to try and organise something which may suit.
