looking to fit some rear seats in my t4 as theres lots of other makes available im sure people must have fitted some that are not from a vdub would you be kind enough to post the pics and what they came out of T:

Went with these first, out of a minibus

Not really comfy and the fixed headrests seemed to push the passengers head forward. Managed to get a set of swivels from a Chrysler Voyager, well happy with them now.

All fitted on Unwin tracking *<>

Here's mine from a renult van brought from eBay and fitted by the same company, got a certificate of conformity with it too as they convert van in to taxis and disabled vans! Got the details off it at home if your interested?

Hi,

Whats the problem with genuine VW seats? They are easy to fit, easy to remove, and are fitted to crash tested fitting points if you use them in the original positions with genuine VW captive nut plates!

Personally I would not fit seats with built in seat belts into the rear of a T4 ( unless they are multivan 2 seats) as the floor is really not strong enough ! ( he holds his breath for the flaming to start)

But at the end of the day it's your van, your friends/family that are going to be sat on them, and your insurance that is going to be void if you have an accident and they find the rear seats are not of an acceptable standard ( less than original fitment)

Then there is the question of seat belt anchorages but I have stirred the pot enough for today!

Oh and I have a set of original middle row seats available if you want! Either 3 singles or a double and a single!

nothing wrong with vw seats except they hold camper van tax lol(normally very overpriced) being a qualified welder with certs im more than confident my mounting of the seats will be stronger than standard T:

as for seating im after a twin with gay divider(term we use for the bulky pullout armrest between the seats) and the only ones ive come accross vw have sold for 100s so just looking at other options T:

if i get time tomorrow il take some pics then il try & figure out how to post them up only reason i have,nt so far is im a computer numpty lol :*

I know these are vw seats.....so slightly changing the subject here.........got my seats fitted out of a caravelle already done when i bought my bus very comfy
