didnt have any probs with these, only marginally wider than stock vw runners they sit on same edge, drilled 6 new holes 4 for bolts and 2 to hold a locating peg on baseof runner.

couple of hours of drilling, and a load of size 8 bolts.

Bit of messing to get my Audi TT seats fitted, but an engineer i know made some brackets and did a bit of welding. Very happy with the seats now they are in though.

well i was very lucky with these babys,
my brother knows some one from saab and got them for free !!!!
i took them to a welder and payed £30 for him to fit the pair to their bases,
not sure what model saab from though,

I have just got hold of some great seats from a 98 BMW 5 Series.
I have a concern that they may be a little to big for the rails of a single seat base and could interfere with the handbreak.
Basically i put the tape across the back of my existing drivers seats and the rails/sliders are 400mm centres. The BMW seat measures in at 500mm centres so what I am asking is does anybody have experinece with these seats or have any advice with possible fitting remedies and solutions for the size. Was thinking of just welding them directly to the bases???
Is this a bad idea???

Aftermarket seats bought from M4RTY (cheers for the tea mate! Seats were well worth the drive)T:
Took about 3 hours to fit- including removing original bench seats & drilling the original VW bases to fit shorter the new seats runners, installing original VW seatbelt receivers on new seats (after finding bolt that joins backrest to seat base)
Sorted! VERY pleased. Wotcha think? :cheers

Seats from a company on Ebay in Belgium. Very easy to fit, just had to drill 2 new holes in the base. No place to put seat belts but having a swivel base I prefered to fix the seat belt receiver to the base. Got the receivers from a PassatT:
