Hi folks,
A fairly minor question, but one I'd like to sort. When parked up on a campsite with the side door open, I usually pop in the interior rear lights to 'off' to save battery power, but there is no switch for the small light on the side step. Does this usually switch itself off after a while or has anyone wired a switch in to kill it?

Stick an LED bulb in it and forget about it

It should go off after a while same as the interior lights.

Cheers guys. I would have sat outside to see if it did turn off, but it's blowing a gale out there! T:

I have LED bulbs in the roof lights, so might pick up another for the step. Anyone know if they are the same size?

The step lamp is a capless 501 bulb - i got led ones in mine T:
