Hi all!

VW 1996 T4 2.4d AAB

Got a few things to do with this one, I'll make seperate posts for everything!

For this one I need to bleed the power steering and get the air out, making a lovely noise when turning the steering wheel!
Can someone give me some "for dummies" guidance on where the bleed valve is?
I find it quite difficult to find certain info for this beast!

Thanks alot!

My Haynes manual doesn't mention any bleed valve, but does have a section on bleeding the pump - and do keep topping up the reservoir throughout:

Fill the reservoir
Jack up the front of the van
Quickly move the steering from lock to lock (with engine switched off) several times until fluid level no longer drops.
Lower van and top fluid up
Start engine for two minutes with steering in straight ahead position - once air bubbles stop appearing switch off.
Note- if abnormal noise is heard when the steering wheel is turned, then further bleeding is still required - repeat.

Please let us know how you get on!
