Just bought my first T4 :) and noticed this problem on my friends T4 aswell.

When you have full lock on in either direction I get a squealing noise. Havent lowered the van and it has standard wheels on. Any ideas?

Im sure this must be a common problem but couldnt find anything in previous posts.

Cheers

90% of the time its caused by the power steering belt...After time it gets a little stretched and slips a little on full lock...Change belt should sort out the squeal

Easy!!!!...do this

Remove Alternator belt,

Then the pulley with the 3 allen keys, undo 3 of the bolts, but leave one in place but loose, Take the old belt off, ,, Put new belt on, and insert 1 bolt, then the 2nd, then tighten all 3,

Also worth checking that when on full lock the tyre isn't rubbing against the inner arch therefore putting the pump under pressure, hence squealing.

Shouldn't happen with standard wheels, but bloomin' well did with the ones I had on mine.
