please help does anyone know if you can buy a stainless towbar. Need a towbar pretty quick but would love it to be stainless to match my side bars and so it looks better for longer any help or advice greatfully accepted, thanks alot seph.*<>

Defo not available. Really wouldn't recommend getting one made of stainless either. The tensile strength of stainless is nowhere near enough to cope with the job. In short it would snap like the proverbial carrot

You could ask a local engineering shop to make cover plates for you though. Seen this done on a T4 in belgium. Looked different.

what he said. Theres also the cost factor to take into account. it'd have to be made from marine grade 316 so it didn't surface rust (yes stainless does rust!)

Most motor factors do crome plastic covers to go over them , as stated already stainless tow hitch is a no go.Anything happens which it will the insurance company will have a field day.

as of next year all tow bars come under MOT test
