hi,

i've been thinking about bubble wrap to fill in some of the gaps in my insulation job on the walls of my van, and then to cover the panels on the top of my van.

I can get the foil type of bubble wrap on the net no trouble, but then i wandered this...
We have masses of packing type bubble wrap at work, stuff with big bubbles and stuff with little.

could i get away with using the stuff at work instead of the foiled stuff?
the foil will obviously be better, but by how much?

Lewis.

were the ends sealed with waterproof tape if not then yes.
my mates an architect and they build steel buildings using the tin foil stuff.
unless its a make it could just be bubble wrap sprayed silver.
the tin foil would have insulated more, whilst bubble wrap contains air it wont insulate to same degree have a look at its u value
at least van will be protected in post
