Hi friends,
I'm starting a project, where I replace the old rubber on the steering wheels with wood, to give our t4 a more classic retro look!
What do you think?

I've been thinking to do something similar for mine but never thought of steering wheel.
How do you fix that to the steering wheel and would it be possible to do it to T4 steering wheel?

This steering wheel is from a t4 but from the first phase, from 1991 to 1994 if I'm not mistaken!
The original is this:

Yes is possible to do it in all steering wheels

They look great but how is the woodwork fixed to the steering wheel ? Whats to stop it coming apart or even splitting during an accident and spearing the driver ?

It still has the iron core, I glue the wood with the iron inside, it's safe like the original, only with a unique touch of wood
