Hi all,

I'm having a problem.

I put in a new stereo and wired an amp up last Sunday. Monday morning, went to start her up, and yep, flat battery!

I wired the stereo up so it didn't switch off with the ignition. The amp power light stayed on all the time. I disconnected the amp from the battery, and has been fine starting her up through the week... So i know it's not the stereo.

This morning, i've sorted the stereo out, so it switches off when you pull the key out, but the amp power light still stays on. The remote wire is connected.
Will i be waking up in the morning having to jump start her again, or will she be ok now?
Is the amp power light meant to stay on all the time?

Any advice would be good.

Thanks T:

The amp should only be on when the stereo is on. You should have the remote wired to the switched output from the stereo. Usually a blue or blue / white wire. If your stereo doesn't have a switched output connect remote to the red wire on the stereo.

Thanks mate, all sorted now :)

I put the amp remote lead to the Blue/Brown wire. Think thats the steering wheel remote?

Thanks again T:
