Hi there

We bought a T5 LWB van with a Reimo roof fitted but no roof bed. I can't seem to find anywhere that are willing to fit a bed into an existing roof. If anyone has done so and has advice that would be massively appreciated!

We're based in Fife but are happy to travel within Scotland/Northern England to get it done.

Also, I'm keen to know if there is any advice for fitting a SWB Bed into a LWB van? Our youngest sleeps across the cab so need the space to get up and down while he is asleep.

Thanks in advance!

Link to Wellhouse Leisure who are reimo importers - they should be able to supply and/or fit. They fitted my reimo poptop and when I went for the van there was no bed fitted - only took 30minutes and that included travelling to and thro' to there workshop so simple enough. Wellhouse should advise about use of swb in lwb van.

Thanks powellm2

I did call Wellhouse in my searches so far. While they would fit a bed they said they only do it if they fitted the original roof- which I am not sure that they did.... I have left a message for the previous owner to see if they know where the roof was fitted, you never know.

If anyone has any ideas on anyone that would fit a roof and isn't worried about who fitted the original roof that would be fab.

Thanks,
Jamie

Speak to someone at Concept Multi Car at Hythe, I know they are a long way from you but they are always helpful. Your roof should have a standard Reimo frame around it, either with cab cut-out shaping or not depending on which version the original owners requested. I think both elevating roofs and high tops have the same frame around the cut-out portion.

They have fitted a high roof for me and supplied lots of parts for the four campers that I have built.

Fitting the bed is a five minute job honestly. Surely they will supply one and advise on the issue about swb bed in a lwb.

Firing a bed into your roof should cause no issues. Just get wellhouse to send you a bed. Short wheelbase bed will fit without any problem. Short bed has a hinge in the middle, which can give more headroom further back when in the raised position.
Just measure the width of your bed rails to double check and consult with them. You will need to get the measurement for locating the ram which lifts the bed, where it mounts onto the bed rail.
