I've read recently how people have been knocking swivel seat bases for their poor fitting and poor turning ability. Also, I've heard that they increase the seat height by 1-2 inches.

I don't mind a bit of fiddling when turning them but overall I'm a little put off to fit them because of what I've read.

What do you recommend?

Thanks

Just got one on the passenger side and wouldn't be without it. No problems with height or turning (although there is obviously no steering wheel to get in the way) makes sitting in the van a whole lot nicer, with more space, seats etc.

Both mine swivel and no problems, gives you more room in the van. T:

My passenger side seat swivels and I'm glad it does. No problems with turning it and the height looks about one inch more than the driver's side which doesn't swivel.
More practical when parked up and sitting in the van. Extra seat at the table for eating (errrr and drinking!) etc :)

Both my seats swivel , opens the van up more when parked up and extended gearstick so no probs with extra height.

I Keep a Socket under the seat base, and it takes about 2 Minutes to turn the seat round by undoing the four nuts that hold the seat in place, spinning the seat and doing up the nuts again.
I normally stay put the whole weekend when I go away, so its not an issue to spend 5 minutes or so doing it manually.

I certainly wouldnt spend £200+ to avoid it anyway.

Never thought of doing this, i have changed my seat bases to accomadate new seats so it would probably take no time at all to flip the seat around.
Happy daysT:T:

Cheers,
Carl.

I reckon in the 18 months I have been doing it, I have spent less time in total, than it would take me to fit a pair of Fasp bases, from what I have read on here :D

Plus I have £200+ to spend on show tickets and Cider as a bonus.

I like to swivel all the time I: whenever i park up, makes for a good social feel to the van if you are socialising inside.
I agree - you can't beat a spontaneous swivel :D

Cup of tea at the beach - swivel

After dog walk cup of tea - swivel

Chilling in van for the hell of it - swivel

Just fancy a swivel - swivel :D
