Hi Guys,

I have recently bought my first T4 Caravelle (short nose)…..after a long time looking. Pretty pleased with it.

It's totally stock at the moment. I don't want to do too much to it, I want it to look subtle.

Thinking about lowering, clear indicators, banded steel wheels and a stainless retro style roof rack.

Question is, being new to this, is how far should I lower to get a good effect, without going too far or losing too much ride quality……

Any help appreciated. Will post pics when I get pick it up!! End of week.

Cheers all.T:

PS (Where can I get a retro steel roof rack for a T4….)

This is Mine with lowered front (you can work it out yourself-a bit of trial and error on your torsion bar nuts!) Mine are the Violet code torsion bars as it has a lots of extra kit (Climate cont, ABS and 2.5 petrol if that's what makes the difference, The nuts are approx 1.5 inches from the end and not on the bump stops. Just fitted HD Sachs sport shocks to front and they are Ace!!
The rear has Eibach sports springs with standard Sachs shocks. Never had tyre rub and I tow (occasionally!) a caravan with surfboards on roof, 3 bikes on the tailgate etc. Wheels are 18's with 235 40R18 XL tyres

I would read the many topics on thus in the suspension section of the forum.

Eilbach,Vogtland or H&R HD springs with Sachs HD shocks.
