Having sunk my heart and soul in to my trusty old bus, and had many fantastic trips away in her, I have now been seduced over to the dark side!!! I'm soon to be the owner of LWB T5!

So for sale is my trusty T4.

my van is a 1999 (v) 2,5 LWB 88bh/p panal van with around 176700 miles on the clock. The van has a full service history (part VW, part specialist) having had the cam belt service done at 160K, and a new clutch and dual mass fly wheel about 5K ago. These being probably the biggest cash outlays you'd expect to pay on a van this age and mileage. The van has 10 months MOT, and Tax till the end of Feb. The next service is due within the next 300 or so miles.

There is plenty of life in the tyres, the alloys aren't perfect, small amount of kirbing but otherwise fine. The original front ofside alloy suffered a slight buckle having been pot holed and will be included in the sale.

The van has had side windows and a sunroof put in by the Mad Workshop, in Bristol to very high standard, and lowered at the front. Inside has been decked out as a two birth day van by myself and the infamous Big Cat a couple of years back. The van walls are insulated and birch ply lined, so can be fixed into. The ply has been covered in black carpet. The hard board roof panels have been replaced with varnished oak veneer plywood, the floor is oak effect laminate. The side cupboard, rear seat base etc is all constructed out of high quality birch plywood.

The rear seat back is used to make the front of the bed (see photos) using an Ikea futon matress as the base. In the front are Saab leather seats (very confortable) and carpeting.

I have reciepts for pretty much all the items used to convert the van totalling around the £4500 mark. The body work is in good order with the odd minor ding and surface rust around the wheel arches and sills. .

Please contact me either via the forum, or email me. Alternatively call my works mobile and leave a message.

Please contact me to arrange a viewing or ask about the van.

Tyre kickers will be treated accordingly!

Thanks for looking

By the way, when Paul says "seat bases" he doesn't mean that the front ones are plywood !!:D

Good luck with the sale mate. When's the t5 coming along ?

Thanks Dave,

If all goes to plan, I'll be collecting the T5 a week Friday, followed by a Trip over to see Darren over a Cordwallis in Maidenhead for a service.

Ideally, I'd like the T4 sold by then!

Doe the van suffer with damp as the screen looked all misted up in the 1st pic and in another pic a radiator can be seen.
I like the van But I'm fed up with scraping the inside of windscreens in the winter I:

Hi Paul,

The van's water tight. The windows are steamed over due to a sudden spate of interior cleaning on Sunday afternoon in the pooring rain with the doors open!

The photo with the heater in was taken a couple of months a go, keeping the van all toasty during a previous cleaning session.

If you are interested in having al look around the van, I'm more than happy to meet up half way. This weekend is a little difficult as I'm working both Saturday and Sunday, but could meet up the following Sunday?

All the best Paul

Bump!!!

Make me an offer, this van needs to sell, I may have pitched the for 'sale price' too high, so will consider all sensible offers

Thanks

Paul...Get some better pics up !

Paul is working really stupid hours at the moment and he simply doesn't have time to get the van and a dry day to combine for better pics, believe me this van is pretty good. It does have some rust in front arches and along one cill but it's far from the end of the world. He's also running one odd alloy as he hit a pothole, so better safe than sorry.
Mechanically it's been very well maintained and a as long wheelbase van makes very good use of space, I know because I helped put the interior in !
