[Strangething]

We brought a T4 and have a bench seat in the back, it did have 2 lap belts in, my husband and dad relpaced the lap belt by the window, but what do we do for the other one? The man that sold it to us said you can get a really long seat belt but not sure if you can actually buy one or if it will be safe ? Please let me know any thoughts on this as I want it safe for my children to travel in it

Hi and welcome. Where is the double seat located? Middle row offside ?
Is your van a Kombi body ( vin number starts wv2 )?

If the seat is offside, then a long belt from the near side will be ineffective as it will not be tight on the shoulder

Can you get a nearing single seat and a fix it to mushroom bolts, and use a 3 point belt form the near side C pillar.

Unless the van is a Kombi then you can't rely on just fixing plates for the seat belts to the body panels, the inner and outer body skins need joining to prevent the inner pulling away from the outer and losing the strength in the upper mounting.
