The T4 Types
  • The WV1 Panel Van chassis, a Light Duty Goods Vehicle without seat fixing points in the floor and upper seat belt mounting points (although the holes are cut out there are no threaded captive nuts for the seat belt bolts)
  • The WV2 Window Van chassis, a Passenger Vehicle with reinforced floor incorporating seat fixing points and three way seatbelt points at all outside seat locations (see below). Centre seat belts are lap belts attached to the seat itself.
The WV2 Window Van chassis - the red areas in the pillars and roof cant rail highlight the seat belt mounting points that are not present on the WV1 Panel Van chassis.

right, not to add to much confusion to the body types;)

ive recently purchased a lwb panel van(no windows apart from windscreen, door windows and tailgate, also single slider) to convert to a camper, it previously had a middle row of seats(had been removed before id seen it) but its got the chassis no prefix of WV2 does this mean it has all the above window van strenthening or perhaps just some spesific to the middle row of seating? its a 93 so god knows what may have been done to it and when over the years and is there any way of checking with out having a WV1 shell to compare?

Your van will have seat belt points all round, but additional strengthening around the rearmost "window", or where the bonded windows would be in a Caravelle, would be favourable if seat belts are required in the back section - by way of a continuous bond (two pack adhesive of the type used to bond doorskins and wings onto modern cars, or seam welding).
