hi guys
I need to get myself another van, looking at a 2.8 vr6 but how thirsty are they
i dont do massive miles what mpg would you get.?

Haha as above. You don't go and buy a VR6 because of the MPG!
You get it for what it is. Just get it if you've got one available. I have a feeling you won't regret it dude. T:

i think they do 10 or 12 to the gallon the only thing that puts me off is there autos

get it on LPG. conversion will pay for itself in a year or two if you're doing many miles.

got one mate its a 99 multivan 60k miles and it does 20-22. doesnt vary too much betwwen town and long runs and even towwing Eriba. was thinkking of lpg which I had on last RV but dont really do the miles to be honest best vehicle i've ever hadT:

The 200 bhp golf is a 24 valve engine with variable valve timing
The 2.8 in the t4 and mk3 golfs are 12v engines

I'm on about the MK3 Golf VR6 mate, 172bhp iirc.

And never understood why they put the 190 bhp 2.9 in the corrado and not the golf
And then a 150 in a T4 thats just cracked

i gotta be honest, get a 2.5 and upgrade it, the vr6 are heavy mpg, the 2.5 is a stronger engine, if the auto box plays up, which they do, it' ll cost u big bucks, go 2.5 be cheaper to repair etc, or ge a 1.9 t5 and remap it, or a 2.5 t5 and go silly mapping and fly along, my mates got a sportline remapped, bloody thing fliesA:

...or get a 24v vr6 and stick it in your T4, then add a gas conversion. Cheap, fast motoring
