Hello T4ers,

I've got an old T4a Caravelle parked on my drive K-reg (93), petrol, 180,000 miles - not moved for a year. Wondering what to do with it as need to make as much wonga from it as I can to spend on my new one, with as little time and hassle as possible! So, it's an eBay job I guess.. but as they don't crop up in this poor condition very often I'm not sure what it might (or should) fetch. Anyone like to guess? Would it be best to break it? - but is this a nightmare to do? Anyone’s opinions would be great. Details as follows:

Quite a bit of service history from new. Clear HPI.
Needs service & cambelt change.
Fairly good interior for age.
Dunlop tyres ok - all 3/4mm. Spare as new.
Full tank of fuel.
Recent engine fire - burnt out fuel line when turning engine over. Engine was running before that, but has an idle speed problem.
NO power-steering, electric windows or central locking - one key for all locks.
Blue. NO window tints. Rear sun roof. Single rear door.
Water leaking into passenger side floor area from windscreen / wing - removed & binned the front carpet section.
Fair bit of rust here & there: wheel arches, front bumper bar, passenger door step, rear bumper bar, edges of windscreen.
Cat converter & middle section exhaust replaced 18 months ago before it died.
Picture below: has plastic VW wheel covers which I forgot to put on.

T cut it use a hot air blower on the bumpers, stick some cheap Audi alloys on it, then borrow a surfboard lean it against the van, take some nice photo's, give surf board back.

Then stick it on ebay as a VW surf van starting price 4K - should sell especially if you can wait until March April next year
