Hi All, been recommended to pay you a visit after purchasing my T5
Originally posted in General chat, although most likely it should be here

I have just purchased a retrofit cruise control kit from VW for my T5 & have VAG-COM

The T5 has Electric windows & NO Rear Wiper, which I understand causes problems

I was hoping that the instructions supplied may show what is required, as VWCruise add £20 for T5's without Rear Wiper, although they're too far away from me.

Does anyone know what is required, as I'm guessing its another wire?

Thanks

Thanks.

What instructions? Where did you guys buy from?

I don't have the driver DIS on my van.

Been quoted £450 + VAT.

Thanks for the reply.

The DIS computer, is the trip computer for MPG etc...so I'm told.

Trying to gather as much info as possible before I pull the van to bits.

Haven't got round to fitting yet, as I've been trying to find out what wiring Hazzy Dayz charged £15 for the rear wiper, as long as it works without the rear wiper as mentioned by curlylee I'll have a go

curlylee got a Bargain if he got it for £60
VW Teesside sell them on eBay

fitted mine at the weekend and enabled it through vcds but it doesn't work. (ecu code now has a G in front of it) :*

all the wires fitted as per instructions.

Is there any way of testing that the sensors are all working correctly.

I have electric windows but no rear wipers, could this have made a difference.

any thoughts welcome.

TIA,

Edd

Got the right black socket, I think. Right at the bottom. What a pain to get to.

wondering if I have the wrong kit. My van doesn't have dis. Not sure what the differences are.

The instructions are the same for both types so does that mean that the loom is the same but the switchgear is different?

I can always buy the other one and swap the switchgear over but I don't fancy trying to get the loom back out.
