Hi,

The lock on my sliding door has locked itself when the door was open which stops me shutting the door properly.
I am attempting to replace it and don't have a lot (any?) experience of doing stuff like this.

Looking at the screws/bolts that secure the lock in the door I am unsure of what type they are. Looking around the web the standard types either seem to be spline or XZN.

I have included some photos of them here.

Sorry for the silly question. Any help would be very much appreciated.

They're known as "triple square" heads, NOT torx or sometimes incorrectly referred to as spline drive.

If you look down on the socket you'll be able to "see" the socket is made up of three square sockets slightly off-set to each other.

Common sizes used by VW are 6, 8, 10 & 12.

I think the size you need for the door lock is either 6 or 8.
