Hi,

I have a 99 T4 Caravelle 2.4d and since i have had it the temp gauge and rev counter have never worked. Also whenever i start the engine the oil light flashes and alarm goes off, alarm stops after 3 but the light still flashes. Any suggestions as to how to rectify these problems?

I currently have the rad/fans off as I'm changing the coolant hoses and thermostat (not by choice) so if this is a wiring problem, now would be a good time to sort it.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The rev counter could be due to a broken thin red wire at the alternator.
