Are there any nasty surprises when doing this?

If i can't get hold of a ball joint splitter asap i'm going to have to remove the torsion arms and take them to get pressed in/out.

I can see that i'm going to have to lower the sub frame in order to get to the top bolt but what i want to know is what gives it the torsion? Are there sprung bars inside the tube as on a t2 front beam? Or is it a simple case of unbolt and rebolt?
