Hi, anyone know if i could make a towbar for a 92 - 96 t4 fit a 99? or does the spare wheel get in the way?

Towbars listed on the major suppliers sites such as Towsure and Towequipe are listed to fit all t4s 91-03 so should be Ok T:

i had a towbar fitted to mine and when i put later bumpers on the ball was to close to the bumper face to use it so i took it off. plan modding to fit again at some point. T:

The spare wheel shouldn't be a problem. That didn't change. The only thing may be the depth of the later bumper, as Rocketron experienced. The aftermarket ones like Towsure and Towequipe are Ok for later models and will therefore be fine for the earlier ones. May not be the same the other way round. You can get spacers to fit between the bar and the tow ball, with longer bolts, which should solve the problem, as long as it's not a 'swan neck'. T:
