Hi Guys,

Been looking for ages and can't seem to find a definitive answer to this one in any previous posts.

Just need to know what tyre would be best on my standard 6Jx15 ET44 steels, with a 50mm suspension drop?

Offered up the steels with the standard 195/70/15 tyres on and seems very close to arch..

Cheers,
Chris.

Not really sure why you are suffering any issues if they are standard issue T4 wheels. I had no issues with my steels when I dropped mine 40mm. Tyres were no where near the arches (at least 10mm clearance on vertical travel) Replaced them with ET 35 7J Passat alloys with the same 195/70/15 set up and still no issues (as below) they do sit closer to the arches but loads of room.

Do you have any pic's?

Here's the current ride height on 18" RS6 replicas.

The new wheels with the 195/70/15 tyres on have roughly 2cm bigger diameter..

I think they'll look great once sorted..

I've finally managed to get the van going and off the gravel to try a set of 195/70/15's and they fit fine... Wasn't what i was expecting, but I guess the offset puts them under the arch more..

My question now is how wide could i go with the tyres? Thinking 215/70/15, or is going wider on a 50mm drop a bad idea?
