My van has Goodyear tyres on, but I want to change to more energy efficient ones, as the 2 front ones are getting on the point of needing to be replaced, so I'm going to be replacing all 4.

Van is used as a family vehicle/mountain bike transporter/lightweight camper (not converted yet) - AFAIK the minimum load rating for mine is 92.

[email protected] reckon that these 2 will be a good choice for efficiency & braking on my 1996 1.9Td 800 special:

Any ideas on compatibility/safety issues with them not being C rated or 6 ply?

Looking at this http://www.vwt4forum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=120516 my axle weights are (T4b) Front:1250kg, Rear:1230kg, Combined:2480kg giving a minimum load rating of 92 - as these are a 99 load rating, would they work & be safe / not void insurance - or should I go for a C rating / 6 ply instead with a 100+ rating?

Getting fitted to standard steel wheels as well.

What are the axle weights on your chassis plate ?

Just ordered some Conti Vanco Eco 195/70 R15 104's for fitting Monday - plate on the van is for 195/70 R15 C 102/104, so they should do the trick at £81 each fitted and give me better mpg/braking than the Goodyears on it now
