Hi all, I have taken my T4 Caravelle back to the garage that I got it from. After only 100 miles I find that I am getting a lot of smoke from the back for about 15 min after starting her. Also one of my mates has found some White Milky 'gunk' (Oil Mayonnaise!) on the oil cap. OH NO! I was thinking that one of the gaskets or even the head was on its way out.

The garage have advised that this is not the case and it looks to be condensation?? :*

They have advised that they are going to change the glow plugs as it is not starting as it should, and I am happy that they have advised on this.

Has anyone got any thoughts, ideas and advise on this??

what does the oil look like? not the cap. yes in the clod months you can get mayo on the cap due to condensation.

Often caused by short runs, give it a long run and clean of gunk and keep an eye on it.

The oil is looking ok. I'll see what they come back with. Clean it off and give it a run. Thanks all
