Well, it would help your questions if we knew what model van you have & unless you are not making sure that the drive shafts are well greased the only way to stop the appitite for them is to stop driving it like a boy racer.

Tend to agree with Brian... Bet drive shafts are going because they are not greased correctly to stop water rotting the splines. Most on here have mapped 5 pot vans and yes drive shafts are an issue but 210bhp is not a lot for some on here and its not that that kills the shafts it's the torque.

If you reinforce the driveshafts you'll probably rip the gearbox apart!

If you use a website like this in conjunction with the chassis M code sticker under your dash you should be able to find parts for you gearbox code (MQ500 type with codes KUP,MKB,MQX, PAP,PAV,PAT, PAU)....

http://www.partsbase.org/vw/transpo...afts-output-shaft-for-6-speed-manual-gearbox/

you should be able to find other vehicles fitted with MQ500 (Tiguan and Q3) gearboxes thus and pick from their ratios

You'll probably have to buy a second hand gearbox and build a hybrid and you could stick one of these in too
