I posted on the forum asking for advice on fitting a leisure battery under the bonnet on a Jkay battery tray, the best advice I got was

"go to a battery specialist"

unfortunately a "battery specialist" wouldn't have a clue what a Jkay tray was, or probably that you could even fit a leisure battery under the bonnet.

After speaking to a "battery specialist" and researching for hours I came to the conclusion that the maximum size I could fit would be a 90amp hour one.

Finally I got a reply from a guy (upsex) that really knows his stuff and T4's, not only did he know what a jkay tray was, he knew the exact dimensions that would fit, and a 110ah one, just what I wanted

As I needed it urgently he offered to meet me in Evesham (where I was working), when I got back today I fitted the battery, thought I would need some KY gel to get it in, but it fits perfect.

Not only that, but it was cheaper than I could buy anywhere else.

This is why I love this forum, genuine advice from guys that really know their stuffT:

Just like to say

Thank youA:A:A:

If anyone needs auto electrics advice, I can't recommend him enough

Thanks Andy, didn't relise it fitted with the pollen filter in place T:

Might have to rethink my interior now
It is tight, but goes in (like a nuns chuff), I really didn't want to waste interior space fitting a leisure battery inside and even worse if you are unfortunate enough to roll your van, battery acid stings (understatement)

Do you know what the battery dimensions are or the make just so I can check if mine fits T:
If you have a jkay tray you have to remove the front lip (as per Martyn's instructions) it breaks off in situ easily. I think the dims are 190mm high by 345 long.

Not sure on the make and I would have to remove it to find out:*

This may be an obvious one, but how do you change the headlight bulb in front of those batteries?
Ah thought of that one as well as it was awkward before I fitted the battery.

If you put your hand in and remove the spring clip holding the indicator and remove it (just slides out) you can then access the headlight. Was much easier to do it this way anywayT:
