2L aac '96 at the garage and the guys are showing me the screwed voltage readings from the ecu, lowest 0.3 and highest 17!

from this thread http://www.vwt4forum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=97277&highlight=aac my problem wasn't solved so into the garage and after a week of tinkering this is the result.

They cannot explain the high voltage, and it only occurs when the van has warmed up, from cold voltage is stable. The alternator is not overcharging and battery voltage at steady 12 odd. They have even recorded the high voltage with just the ignition on. They have inspected the circuit board and cannot see any split or cracked solder joints which may cause a voltage drop.

So question is what might be creating the extra voltage?

Also, aac ecu wanted, anyone have one?

- for info I have a split charge but is all disconnected, no extra electrics such as transformers or amps, hell I still have the original dash speakers!

The garage, experienced in all things vw, have never seen such a thing!

Hi

Just a thought but have had this kind of issue on some vauxhalls, with them it was the earth dropping in and out on the pins going to the ecu.
May be worth a check
