Volkswagen Transporter T32 BiTDI 180PS Highline LWB 4Motion DSG – “Caravelle"

So I'm still not convinced I want to do this but we're thinking of a "reconfiguration" of the family transport ? not entirely sure how to value it so open to sensible offers but it's a very high spec "Caravelle conversion" that can be used for camping. I have posted it elsewhere but since started doing some research on price so I suspect I need to lower my expectations, I'm looking for £32,995 o.n.o.

This van started out in life on 23rd October 2013 as a genuine VW supplied T32 Highline Kombi 4Motion DSG LWB and then immediately converted to a Sportline look including: -

• Genuine VW Caravelle front grille
• Genuine VW Sportline front bumper
• Genuine VW Sportline rear spoiler
• Genuine VW Sportline 18” alloys (black)
• Genuine VW Sportline rear light clusters
• Genuine VW Sportline floor mats and waterproof seat covers (currently not fitted but will be supplied)
• Genuine VW Sportline sidebars (black)
• Genuine VW mudflaps
• Genuine VW tailgate step guard
• Genuine VW DRL’s (5.1 GP front bumper daytime running lights)
• Genuine VW black badges (front and rear)

After the supplying VW garage did the Sportline conversion, it was immediately shipped to New Wave Custom Conversions for the next phase where it received the NWCC Luxury Caravelle Interior Conversion consisting of: -

• Alcantara & charcoal leather T5 Business Class luxury interior
• 5 Rear Seats + table (bench seat converts to double bed) + 2 captain seats on swivel bases.
• Caravelle inside front door handles
• Skinz automotive sound deadening upgrade to sidewalls
• Custom Alcantara front cab headline retrim.
• Custom Alcanata rear sectioned headline upgrade + touch sensitive LED downlighters + 2 flexible reading lights
• Kenwood Double DIN headunit with TV, DVD, iPOD, Sat Nav, SD Card input, Bluetooth phone compatible with external microphone fitted.
• 6 Focal speakers upgrade
• Surround sound with split audio to channel from front / rear.
• Alpine drop down TV/DVD + Freeview TV Tuner with remote control + 3 sets of wireless headphones.
• Alpine reversing camera
• Eberspacher airtronic heating system with 7 day timing unit
• 2 USB charging points
• VW detachable towbar + single electrics.
• VW Flexiboard + NWCC memory foam “mattress topper”.
I purchased the van in Dec'15 and last year, the following was added: -
• GTE Custom Vans seat covers (Bentley style quilted in black/red)
• OEM Rear quarter tinted windows + extra 5% tint to match rest of vehicle.
• Covex “flyeye” headlight tints (road legal and easily removed if not to your taste)

It’s level of TLC went down last year due to work and a house move whereas previously it was serviced every 5K miles (5096, 9572, 16351, 20584, 25864, 29180), valeted every week + claybar and polished twice per year. It was serviced last year at around 35K (now 43K) so due a service and a Stage 1 detailing to get it “showroom” again.

At this asking price, I would also include a Vango Airbeam Sapera II awning (used once), including driveaway kit, Vango custom fit groundsheet, Vango custom fit carpet. I would also include a genuine custom fit Silverscreens thermal and black out windscreen cover.

Like that a lot, especially the roof lining. Ours will hopefully be similar when finished.

By the way, where did you get the piano black dash trim inserts?

Not sure where the piano black trims came from, they were on it when I purchased it from the original owner but I know CustomVanz do a kit and it's not cheap, £300+ if I recall

Covex headlight tints also known as "Flyeye", saw it when I was getting the rear quarters fitted and tinted and thought I'd give it a try. It's easily removable if you feel the need and is definitely "style over substance", it does cut down the light output but not to anything unsafe given the output of the installed lamps.

Hi there!
The piano black dashboard inserts are from Customvaz of Chippenham.
You get them on an exchange basis and are fairly easy to fit.
This is an amazing van and I should never have sold it - I went out a bought the same again six months later.
It was waxoyled from day one and treated like a show van for the two years I owned it.
The work New Wave carried out on it cost thousands but is worth every penny due to the superb high standard of everything they do
So much so that's exactly where I took the next van!

Good luck with the sale, I would have bought it back if this was six months ago.
Cheers,
Big Lum.

Hi Lum,

The van is indeed a credit to you. A few minor tweaks were done along the way (rear quarter windows, seat covers etc. Still a fantastic bus, I simply couldn't compete with your cleaning regime and I missed its pre-winter Stage 1 detailing but with the new house, it's tucked up safely in the garage every night ;-)

It's with mixed emotions it's going, I still cannot get the Alan die thing out my system so it's heading down south on Thu and I pick up my new truck on Friday hopefully.

Still loving the new bus?

Sudden wave of panic, Alan die??? Did I miss something, then I saw the next message and realised - Landie!

Yes, the new bus is going well, still money pits but love it and have some wee tweets still to do.

Cheers!
