hi folks, has anybody any info on crafters as need a bigger van for work, good and bad points, it will be used mainly for carrying bed frames up and down the country and shows,ie egine size bhp etc, the transporter is just not big enough but not getting rid of this, so any info would be great T:

I had a 109 mwb high top for 4 years it was ok didn't really let me down battire would go flat if left for a couple of weeks. But it was so under powered the 2.5 engine with 109 bhp is it drinks fuel like it goes out of fashion as h
You have to drive it so hard to get anywhere

Sprinters seem to be a better option in this size van. they're a 2.2 compared to the Crafters 2.5 but they have stronger engines and seem to pull weight easier, keep them well serviced and they just keep going and going!. also the fronts are a bit better looking methinks. T:

I have a friend who had a Crafter.

Had it converted... it was HUGE!

The front section was the living area.
The back section was storage for up to 4 mountain bikes and a small pod for changing/throwing dirty clothes in. You could also access that pod from the "living quarters". Looked superb!
