Hi, im looking into (desperately wanting!!) a vw t4..

I've found the perfect blank canvas but was wondering if power steering can be installed into it?? if so at what cost? :*

any other info anyone can give me on this van would be great! mpg, other running costs, upgrades etc etc

I got a '91 1.9d which has power steering. So def possible I would think.

How do you find them to drive? mpg? comfortable speeds and pull?

Worked out 40mpg on a long run. Not sure how accurate cos I got 18's on. Sits nicely at 60/65. Have heard of some struggling to get up hills but mine pulls nicely, but it is unconverted at the moment. Dont plan on a full conversion so I think it should be fine still. And its as comfortable as any van can be. Only way of improving that is sticking different seats in but I wont be as I need the bench seat. Ive got no complaints on mine after 6 months of driving it. As long as you dont expect it to nip round like a hot hatch you cant be dissappointed.
