Just a few more parts to arrive to complete my rebuilt and extended arms 2 (25mm) & 3 (50mm).

I've spent about £30 on stainless hardware.

I had one seized knob on arm 3, I haven't found an acceptable quality alternative to the VW item so that's another £16inc from the VW commercial main stealer.

I've found some M8 "wedge" washers which will match the angle of the clamps nicely but they're on a slow boat from China.

After dismantling and cleaning the arms they slide along the top bar quite easily! I didn't kniw they were supposed to do that 🤣.

 

I’ve discovered that they need a regular clean / lube and bit of movement to prevent the seizing issues. I’m on my second key lock🤞🏻
