The waste tank will not drain. Opening the valve in the gas bottle cupboard has no effect. Probing the outlet pipe underneath with a knitting needle (gently) has no effect. Help! We are touring Wiltshire prior to returning home to France and have no idea how much more the tank will take. (27 litre capacity.) The trip will involve several night stops so I need a solution. What about a domestic drain cleaning chemical? I should say the van is a 1994 Westfalia California Coach. Any tips on access to the tank would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Hi Mate

Can you try blowing air up the Outlet, even from a foot pump taped to the outlet.

That might just break up what ever is blocking it.

Thanks for the replies. The Campervan Warehouse at Sutton Veny, Wiltshire solved the problem by blowing up the waste pipe, just as you described. the instant service to out of the blue customers was above and beyond. Highly recommended. We are on the 1600 ferry DFDS to Dunkirk today on our way home. Spending tonight at the free Aire at Dunkirk ready for a cruise down to Chartres for another free Aire for Tuesday night and then home. £53 for a campervan one way, not bad. Thanks again.
